Since making Nashville his home in the fall of 2008, Evan has worked with myriad ensembles and styles including the Nashville Symphony, the Nashville Jazz Orchestra, The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker, JD Souther, and Aretha Franklin. Cobb keeps a large studio of private students of the saxophone, oboe, flute, and clarinet, and also directs our own Nashville Jazz Workshop Summer Jazz Camp. His album Falling Up, mostly borne in his popular monthly jam sessions at the Nashville Jazz Workshop, has received extensive airplay and has charted among the Top 50 Jazz Albums of Jazz Week in 2012. See below for a clip from the CD release party, hosted right here at NJW in 2011.
Rounding out the quintet are Matt White (trumpet), Bruce Dudley (piano), Jonathan Wires (bass), and Josh Hunt (drums).
