NJW is teaming up with Nashville's exciting NEW independant bookstore, Parnassus Books, for a monthly concert series! It's called "Jazz By The Book." We're very excited about Parnassus and their philosophy about a real bookstore, with real books - check out their website for more information on this important addition to Nashville's cultural scene!

The next event will be on April 28 at 4pm with a History of Bossa Nova. Join NJW directors Lori Mechem and Roger Spencer, NJW development director and guitarist Larry Seeman, and vocalist/percussionist Teree McCormick as they discuss and perform the iconic blend of jazz and Brazilian samba that took America by storm in the 1950's and '60's and became a vital part of the jazz repertoire - bossa nova!
