Milan Moorman studied trumpet, composition and jazz studies at Mount Hood College in Oregon. From there he went on to work cruise ship orchestra jobs, eventually finding his way to Austin, Texas where he was quickly welcomed into the local jazz scene. After many years as a sideman he began leading his own groups, who have become popular favorites at venues around the Austin area.
