July 19 at Naru in Ochanomizu, Tokyo…., a straight-ahead, standard jazz night featuring some of Tokyo’s best: Gene Jackson (of Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter groups), Kengo Nakamura (of Wynton Marsalis groups), and piano phenom Jonathan Katz. Jim Butler (me) on saxophones.
These guys are tops in Tokyo!….so I’m really looking forward to sharing this great American standard jazz music with you all!
It’s kind of far off, but if you want good seats, I recommend making reservations pretty soon.
