The remarkable alto saxophonist Yota Miyazato Quartet will first appear at Oh! Jazz. Yota Miyazato was born in Miyazaki Prefecture. After graduating from the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music’s Jazz Course in 2006, Miyazato won the Grand Prize at the 24th Asakusa Jazz Contest. He studied under the late Hidefumi Toki, a saxophonist who helped shape the Japanese jazz scene and is highly regarded for his smooth and beautiful alto saxophone tone.

Since 2011, Yota Miyazato has participated in Tatsuro Yamashita's concert tours and Mariya Takeuchi's recordings. Also, ever since her debut in 2014, he has been actively releasing new works as a leader....
