On March 20th Alex Samaras and Bobby Hsu present “The Songs of Sondheim” with special guest vocalist Sophia Perlman at the JAZZ.FM91 Cabaret Series. Their latest album “A Sondheim Jazz Project”, “rebuilds the long lost bridge between Broadway and modern jazz, setting Stephen Sondheim's beautiful melodies and brilliant lyrics to the stylistic language of Wayne Shorter and Terence Blanchard. To pay tribute to this prolific composer, Alex Samaras and saxophonist/music historian Bobby Hsu will come together to perform “The Songs of Sondheim”.
