The proceeds of the IPF Freedom Gala will support the Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Program and the Toronto General Hospital and the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit at Toronto Western Hospital.

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Freedom Society is a registered not for profit society established to provide hope and support for people affected by pulmonary fibrosis, an interstitial lung disease that affects an estimated 30,000 Canadians, with a projected 5000 deaths each year. Eileen Joyce established the Society in 2016 to raise necessary funds to find causes and treatments for pulmonary fibrosis, provide education and support for people affected by pulmonary fibrosis, and to help answer those non-medical frequently asked questions asked by those suffering with the disease.
