Matt Lagan Quartet at Jazz Bistro

Saxophonist Matt Lagan, born and raised in Toronto has been a part of Toronto’s jazz and rock music scene for over four years. He has performed at The Rex Hotel, the Beaches Jazz Festival, The Toronto International Jazz Festival and in 2012 performed with spoken word poet Mustafa Ahmed at TEDx TORONTO at the Sony Centre. He has performed along side jazz artists Pat LaBarbera, Alex Dean, Brian Dickinson and Tom Scott to name a few.
He started his musical education as a child, studying jazz and classical piano with his parents and began playing saxophone when he was 13. He was a member of the Jazz FM Youth Big Band for two years, took part in the Humber college Summer Jazz Workshop and Community school for four years.
