Between the four of them they boast ____ Juno awards and over close to 600 recordings as leaders, co-leaders and sidemen.*
This is a big weekend for Schwager, Murley, and Rosnes as they are all nominated for awards in this year's Juno awards which are being presented on March 17th:
- Schwager for his work on Diana Panton's CD "solstice/equinox" (nominated for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year);
- Murley for Jazz Album of the Year (group) for "Liebman/Murley Quartet Live at UofT", and,
- Rosnes for Best Jazz Solo Album of the Year. The title track of Renee's CD, "Beloved of the Sky", was inspired by a painting by West Coast artist, Emily Carr.
