The extraordinary instrumentation of guitar, trombone and drums make NeWt sound like no other group. They were featured as part of Ronnie Scott's Brit Jazz Festival in August and also appeared at the London Jazz Festival where they supported Bill Frisell's 858 Quartet at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. NeWt continue to move forward in 2012 with plans for a new original project which will see them creating brand new music in an intensely isolated, remote setting in Scotland. The trio walk the tight-rope between compositional complexity and spontaneous group improvisation with staggering results.
