Dick Gratton at Trenton Pork Roll Festival

Trenton area jazz guitarists Bob Smith and Dick Gratton will be performing a mix of jazz standards, blues and vocals at the Trenton Pork Roll Festival at Trenton Social Restaurant & Bar beginning at 10:00 AM.

Bob Smith has been playing in a trio format for well over 30 years, being active in night clubs between New York and Philadelphia. The trio has performed individually with such jazz greats as Junior Cook, Woody Shaw, Eddie McFadden, "Wild Bill" Davis and Denis DiBlasio. Bob's jazz/R&B style has been very popular with his audiences for many years.

Dick Gratton started playing in night clubs in the fifties in the central New Jersey area. Dick has performed at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, the 1998 Trenton Jazz Festival and in night clubs and guitar workshops with the late great jazz guitarist Tal Farlow. Dick's style of playing has been described as laid back and articulate - the kind of mainstream jazz that retains a recognizable melody and doesn't challenge the nervous system....
