Tyshawn Sorey, MacArthur Fellow, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and professor of music at Penn, pays tribute to jazz pioneer Max Roach and his 1968 album, Members, Don't Git Weary, a recording with context embedded in one of the most pivotal cultural periods of the 20th century.
