Nathan Eicher in Concert at Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame

The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame welcomes Nathan Eicher back to the Jazz Depot stage. An Oklahoma City-based bassist and composer with a focus on jazz, Nathan has a Master’s degree in jazz studies from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Currently Nathan is working with Oklahoma City-based musician Justin Echols, as well as the band Mischievous Swing with his youngest brother and father. As he develops his bass style—both as a rhythm section player and a soloist—Nathan is working to contribute something unique to the world of music. As Nathan explained, "I want to take the bass to places it hasn't been before. I am always learning or developing new grooves and techniques and pushing myself when I practice to work on things I currently consider impossible for the instrument. Some of the things I have been working on for over a decade I am just now starting to perform in front of an audience, and when I started working on them I thought they would never be achievable in performance setting.
