Mike Steinel is an internationally recognized jazz performer and educator, teaching Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas for 28 years. The author of Essential Elements for Jazz Ensemble, Steinel’s numerous original compositions are published and performed by musicians globally. Steinel has performed in the United State, Canada and Europe with an array of renowned artists, and has recorded with the Rosewood Trio, the Chicago Jazz Quintet, the Frank Mantooth Orchestra, and was a featured soloist on Michael Waldrop’s Big Band on Optimum Records....

Steinel is joined by Rosana Eckert and Pat Coil. Eckert — an internationally recognized vocalist, songwriter, arranger, jazz educator, and voice-over artist — was the first female to join the esteemed jazz faculty at the University of North Texas. Pat Coil is a renowned pianist, composer, arranger and programmer, whose studio work has included television shows and sound track recordings for shows and movies like Sesame Street, Caddyshack, the Today Show, Dallas and Falcon Crest. Bassist Jeff Eckels and drummer Steve Barnes complete the quintet.
