About
Bergama Kolektif Hayalgucu Muzik Merkezi(Bergama Art of the Collective Imagination Music School) is an unique and inclusive liberal arts education music school that internationally acclaimed guitarist/composer Timucin Sahin created in the small historical city of Bergama.
BKHMM (The Art of the Collective Imagination Music School) strives to bridge the gap between musicians and the lay listener and provide a platform where all participants can discuss music and life related issues of our time in inclusive, broad and galvanizing ways.
For BKHMM's inaugural program in August 2017, we had wonderful educators who contributed to the project such as bassist Reggie Washington, saxophonist Ben Van Gelder, drummer Owen Hart Jr. music critic Hulya Tuncag, pianist Ali Perret, bassists Joris Teepe and Apostolos Sideris and sound engineer Alp Turac and myself. BKHMM quickly became a place for the music enthusiasts, local musician citizens, and for the children in the community, with a sole purpose of planting seeds of love and understanding of improvised/contemporary music and high art to its participants. ...
