Jazz Goes to the Movies at Loughton Methodist Church

This celebration of movie music and jazz from the 1930s to the Noughties spotlights Award winner Val Wiseman (star of the Billie Holiday tribute ‘Lady Sings the Blues’) and Digby Fairweather’s Half Dozen (winners of the British Jazz Award for Top Small Group eight out of the last nine years!) Their show has starred at Ronnie Scott’s and toured to sellout shows throughout the UK.

This is one of a series of seven concerts over four weekends running from May to October organised by the National Jazz Archive to raise funds to support its work, and in particular the Heritage Lottery Fund project ‘The Story of British Jazz’....
