Sara Dowling is a jazz singer who is deeply inspired by the repertoire of the classic American songbook, her main influences being Sarah Vaughan and Betty Carter.
The fabulous fearlessness with which she approaches singing gives her the ability both to convey the emotion of very slow ballads, and bring joy as she rip-roars and scats through faster songs. The burning conviction, the irresistible communicative power and jaw-dropping musicality she brings to her performances allows her to make a wonderful connection to the music and to the audience.
Led by Sara on vocals, the quartet is made up of Steve Brown on drums, Dario Di Lecce on bass and Ross Stanley playing the organ.
