Classic original soul and blues with great vocals and horns.
This eight piece soul R n B band will be playing original music written by lead singer Neil Hunter. Neil, along with trombone player Terry O'Hern, were the mainstays of the Eastside Torpedoes who were one of the most popular bands ever to emerge from the North East of England.
As well as the Spitfires’ original songs the audience can expect a selection of soul classics made famous by the likes of Wilson Pickett, Arthur Conley, Sam and Dave and James Brown.
