NYJO is delighted to be making its eighth appearance at the Kenton Theatre on Friday 3rd November.
This year is widely considered to be the centenary of jazz, as the first jazz record was released in 1917. Our programme this evening will be presenting the history and development of the music with hits from every decade. Expect a swinging journey through the Dixieland, swing and be-bop periods, stopping off at modern funk and latin, and demonstrating the heritage and vibrant diversity of jazz.
