About

Supersax was created in 1972 by saxophonist Med Flory and bassist Buddy Clark, in tribute to iconic bebop saxophonist Charlie Parker. The group's music consisted of harmonized arrangements of Bird's improvisations played by 5 saxes, with a rhythm section and either trumpet or trombone. 'Fatsax' is pianist, Graeme Taylor's tribute to the great band. Playing many of Med Flory's original arrangements, along with his own arrangements of other great improvisations from other artists such as John Coltrane and Dexter Gordon.
