Another welcome visit by the UK's top pianist with tenor player, Art Themen, and another name who we have not heard before. Art was here a year ago, and it's good to see him back. Multi award winning sax player Tony Kofi is new to us, although he has been a top name in the UK for a long time, having played with the Jazz Warriors in the 90s. Mainly based in London, he plays all the saxes and flute, in a good number of other bands as well as leading his own trio and quartet. Between the three of them they represent the very best that our national jazz scene can offer, and will no doubt give us a very popular performance. They will be playing a mix of well known modern jazz standards with a few compositions of their own, in their usual very professional way, which will entertain us in a manner that only they can. ...
