The Happening

The Happening is a radio show/podcast which currently airs via www.margateradio.co.uk every 4th Saturday of the month at 10.00 am GMT. The show is a mixture of music, talk and interviews. From being a purely music show, The Happening has morphed into a podcast, wherein I have interviewed jazz musicians, vocalists and composers. I have been fortunate in that the radio stations I have worked with have allowed me work across a variety of music genres, which led to the subtitle of The Happening - The Usual Eclectic Mix; although these days I mostly focus on jazz music and its derivative genres which include jazz funk, acid, jazz, nu jazz, nu gospel, jazz fusion

The show also features the blues and old r'n'b. I have largely focused on Kent based musicians, in terms of interviewee's. I have included the British, Birmingham based reggae artist Bitty McLean and London based Carl Beckles a nu gospel singer.
