Gill Manly Acoustic Blues Trio
'Expect, joy, foot-stomping and passion, and laughter, laced with gorgeous harmonies'
Gill Manly, a jewel in the crown of British Jazz and Blues, performs with her acoustic blues musicians, Trevor Hyett (mandolin mandola), and Thomas Coffey (acoustic guitar). She is a regular headliner at Ronnie Scott's, famously with her critically acclaimed show "Portrait of Nina Simone". The rich tradition of blues and gospel music was always a huge love. Frater and Taylor Band
Scottish born vocalist/songwriter Josie Frater and Drummer/composer Steve Taylor unite Brazilian, Jazz, Pop and world-beats in an adventurous world-jazz excursion. Their thrilling nu-jazz-fusion group has performed at London Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Jazz FM and BBC Radio 2. Led by Ziggy's charismatic curators Josie Frater and Steve Taylor (Steve Taylor Big Band Explosion)
Their 'jazz-fusion' sound and 'Superior Lyrics' evoke the best of Latin-jazz Diva Flora Purim, Annie Lennox and folk heroes Pentangle. "Sublime"
Frater and Taylor have performed along- side Omar, Mica Paris, Ian Shaw, Nitin Sawhney and will be showcasing material from new album 'Hours' featuring phenomenal saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos, Piano virtuoso Neil Angilley, and rising guitar star and songwriter, daughter Rosie Frater-Taylor
"Superb, captivating" Time Out
