Gut String Records

Gut String Records is the personal label of New York City bassist, composer, and bandleader Neal Miner. The name comes from Miner's preference for gut strings instead of the more fashionable metal strings. The label's tradition-minded recording method involves using just a few mics and everyone playing together in one space without headphones. Miner's first project, Happy Hour, was released in the spring of 2009.
