Tangria Jazz

On July 18 from 2pm to 3pm, Tangria Jazz Group will present their first Jazz in July performance after a Green Jazz introduction at the Livermore Library (1188 S. Livermore Ave, Livermore, CA; free).

Underwritten by the Friends of the Livermore Library and funded in part through the Meet the Composer's MetLife Creative Connections program, drummer and Green Jazz creator Sheryl Mebane will introduce Green Jazz, which features a mix of grooving music and poetry with environmental justice themes, original jazz inspired by nature, and more. UC Berkeley Physics doctoral student Simon Rochester will be playing keys and Bay Area music educator Vicky Grossi will be playing bass while Sheryl Mebane will be on drums.
