This show honours alto sax legend Sonny Criss, who Dylan Cramer studied with in 1977. Ornette Coleman called Criss "the fastest man alive", referring to Sonny's swing and bebop playing, but Criss was also a master of the ballad and the blues. The Cramer Quartet will feature many of Sonny's compositions as well as other songs Criss chose for his recordings. Dylan Cramer (alto sax), Ron Johnston (piano), Rene Worst (bass), John Nolan (drums).
