The Yukon may seem an unlikely incubator of musical talent, but it is home to a surprising hotbed of live jazz. Making the Yukon her home base, Fawn Fritzen's sizzling voice has been heating up audiences from Vancouver to Iqaluit over the past few years.

Her debut album, Bedroom Voice (released March 2013), captures her warmth and honesty as she tells stories of love, loss, and even lust.

Blessed with a multicultural background, you might hear French, German, and even Mandarin Chinese when she takes the stage at The Jazz Cellar this weekend. She is joined by acclaimed pianist and composer, Daniel Janke, her collaborator on Bedroom Voice, as well as esteemed Vancouver musicians Jodi Proznick and Andrew Millar.
