Marcin Wasilewski Trio - is the best-known jazz trio from Poland and the only one from our country which can record in the most important jazz record label in Munich. For 15 years musicians from the trio were in an outstanding quartet of Tomasz Stańko with whom they have recorded albums for ECM and have performed all over the world.
The members of the trio had the pleasure to perform with, for example, Jan Garbarek, Dino Saluzii, Bobo Stenson, Jon Christensen or John Surman. The leader- Marcin Wasilewski- is a very respected, not only in the jazz industry. He was rewarded in 2005 by eminent critics of jazz in a survey from an American jazz magazine "Down Beat". He was rewarded with Fryderyk three times as well as with his trio - also three times. Marcin Wasilewski and his trio are the most rewarded with Fryderyk besides Tomasz Stańko.
