Mr. Dave Chappell and Mr. Dan Hovey each grew up in the Washington, DC area playing a distinct city style that we have come to call Americana Swing. The style originates somewhere south of the Mason-Dixon line, somewhere west of the Chesapeake Bay basin and somewhere east of the Shenandoah Valley regions of middle Americana.
