Musician and educator, Dr. Arthur Dawkins has been a prominent and pivotal figure in the Washington, D.C. music scene. He will share his background and experiences that include 30 years as Professor of Music and Director of Jazz Studies at Howard University where he played a key role in establishing a program that has produced world-class practitioners of the art form.
