The Smithsonian American Art Museum is excited to bring to DC an incredible collaboration, titled /’entrepē/, between three time Grammy Award-winning jazz drummer and composer Terri Lyne Carrington and artist and filmmaker Mickalene Thomas. Thomas is known for her work that explores notions of beauty, sexuality, and black female identity. Carrington will perform original music to accompany several videos by Thomas, followed by a conversation and a Q&A. Tickets ($30) are now on sale; non-refundable and non-transferable, limited to four (4) tickets.
