Appeared at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Wichita Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s in London, Yoshi’s Jazz Club Oakland California, International Jazz Education Association, JEN (Jazz Education Network Conference).
Erna Ferry - Vocalist
Erna has performed at all the leading jazz festivals throughout New Zealand, and her career highlights include winning the 1993 Wellington Jazz Quest, supporting American vocal star Al Jarreau as well as touring New Zealand with leading American Jazz performers Bruce Forman - Guitar, Bill Cunliffe- Piano, Holly Hofmann - Flute and Jon Papenbrook - Trumpet.
SPECIAL GUEST: DENNIS CHAMBERS
Dennis Chambers is the drumming legend who has recorded and performed with artists such as Santana, Steely Dan, Parliament/Funkadelic, John Scofield, The Jacksons, The Brecker Brothers, Victor Wooten, Mike Stern, and many others. Dennis is mostly known for his ability to perform with impeccable and funky timing in virtually any style, as well as his fast chops – but he’s perhaps most noted for his jazz-fusion, funk, and Latin music playing. In March 2023 he tour New Zealand with the Rodger Fox Big Band as part of the Big Drum Off that also included Gregg Bissonette and Peter Erskine.
