How is a Jazz musician "built?" The evolution of the art begins with a passion that ignites into the flames of careers that span the decades. EmKo welcomes the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Band Department's presentation "The Art of Becoming a Jazz Musician," an interactive evening of performance spaces where you will see some of the future performers of America's original music from DSOA Jazz, one of the top high school arts magnet jazz programs in the nation, learning the craft of performance, and performing in small ensembles in the gallery and at Jereve, EmKo's elegant eatery.

Admission and the events and exhibitions put on by DSOA Jazz this evening are free to the public, with donations gratefully accepted. A part of the proceeds from EmKo's Untitled cafe and Jereve will be donated to support the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Band Department.
