Jazzrats at Arts Garage

The Jazzrats were founded in 1995 by Tim Walters and Jamie Roth to perform their original compositions and arrangements. The group has been various sizes over the years; this one is a 14 piece ensemble: 2 trumpets (Dave Gibble and Tim Walters), trombone (Russ Freeland), tuba (Bill Muter), four woodwinds (Jamie Roth, Scott Ankrom, Randy Emerick and Mike Brignola), piano/keyboards (Dave Hammer), bass (Chris Patsis), guitar (Christian Davis), drums (Tony Lavender) and featuring vocals by Greg Diaz and Chloe Dolandis.

The band has a very eclectic repertoire, with music from the Dave Pell Octet, Shorty Rogers, Marty Paich, Chie Imaizumi, Gil Evans, Rob McConnell, and Stan LaFerrierre, as well as outstanding Florida writers such as Ron Miller, Dan Bonsanti, Tom Wierzbicki, David Rossow and Gary Lindsay.
