Comprised of some of the best jazz musicians in the Miami area, the The South Florida Jazz Orchestra is directed by bassist and composer Chuck Bergeron. The band will be joined by special guest vocalist, Johnny Rodgers, an internationally-celebrated singer-songwriter, pianist, Broadway star, and recording artist.
The New York Times describes Rodgers as an entertainer “that can't be found anywhere else” with “fused elements of Billy Joel, Peter Allen and Johnny Mercer.”
Over the last five years, the South Florida Jazz Orchestra has presented many world renowned artists in concert, including Tom Scott, Eddie Daniels, Jamie Davis, Mark O’Connor and Ken Pepslowski, and the band’s mission is to continue to produce and promote great artists and modern jazz throughout South Florida.
