Annual Jam Session Presented By Tri-state Jazz Society at Community Arts Center

Musicians and attendees rank Tri-State Jam Sessions among the best. This year’s leader, Bob Rawlins, will call tunes and invite musicians to sit in as the session progresses. Bob has played with several bands for TSJS, is Professor of music theory at Rowan University, serves as music advisor on the TSJS Board, and is the author of several books including Jazzology (jazz theory text), The Real Dixieland Book (a collection of 250 classic Dixieland tunes he compiled and edited while living in New Orleans), and the new Tunes of the Twenties (a fun book that tells the stories behind songs of the Jazz Age).
