Dave Sager and his seven-piece Pie-In-The-Sky Band will present the Roaring Twenties with authentic Chicagostyle jazz. Sager comes from a musical family and studied music at Ithaca College and Towson State University. For more than 20 years he lived in New Orleans playing classic old-style jazz full-time. Sager has performed extensively throughout the US and Europe, playing jazz festivals, symphonic pops concerts, and community concerts. Dave has performed with many well-known musicians including Banu Gibson and Woody Allen. He recorded the soundtrack for the film “Bix, An Interpretation of a Legend” and in 2007 received a Grammy nomination for his notes for the CD “King Oliver, off the Record.” Since 1995, Sager has worked as curator for the Library of Congress National Jukebox and continues to play festivals and local jazz gigs. $10 first timers and members — $20 general admission.
