Uptown! Presents: Jazz Cocktail Hour With The Diane Monroe Quartet at Sprout Music Collective

This November, Uptown!, along with Sara Michaels is thrilled to be hosting the Diane Monroe Quartet. Diane Monroe will be on violin, Tony Miceli will be on the vibraphone, Justin Seleleweski on bass and Francois Zayas will be on the drums.

Diane Monroe began her career with tenured positions in the Max Roach Double Quartet and the Uptown String Quartet, and has been proclaimed by Jim Ferguson of Jazz Times to have displayed, "stunning musicianship...". Her performances, compositions and arrangements have been highlighted on the Cosby Show, Mr. Rogers, Carnegie Hall, the North Sea and Mellon Jazz Festivals and Zurich's Tonhalle, to name a few....

Her versatility and expressive artistry consistently bring audiences to their feet. Monroe has been leading her own ensembles for more than 15 years. Her twenty-five-year career within the "classical world" has afforded her performances with renowned musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma and Arnold Steinhardt.

Doors open at 6:00pm. Tickets are $15 in advance and at the door.
Sprout is a member-based club. Membership fees are very reasonable, only $5.00 dollars for the entire year. If you do not already have a Sprout membership, there will be an additional $5.00 fee at the door for the yearlong membership.
