Bob Wolfman
âSimply one of the best guitarists in the U.S. today!â ~ Boston Globe
âA force to be reckoned with, Wolfman has blistering technique and plays with an intensity and refinement that speaks to his deep musicality.â
~ Joyce Kulhawik Arts and Entertainment reporter www.joyceschoices.com
Born and raised in New York City, the life of a struggling musician in the urban grit surely helped to put the âsoulâ in his sound â having played with legends like Joe Beck, Chick Corea, Grover Washington Jr., and his lifelong mentor, teacher and friend Larry Coryell didnât hurt either. Bob has also performed with John Payne (sax player with Van Morrison), Blues singer Toni Lynn Washington, Blues and Jazz Harmonica icon Mike âTurkâ Richards, Bluesman James Montgomery, and many more over the years.
Bob Wolfman became legendary in the Boston and New England areas in the 1990âs as a âhired gunâ for recording sessions and concert perfrormances with numerous bands and singers, and notorious as the most ferocious, passionate guitar player around. Known for his searing solos and gusty vocals, Bob thrills and delights his audiences with his rich blend of Blues, Rock and Jazz, and even some R&B and Gospel overtones.
