In the swinging, Atlanta Jazz Party! classic jazz tradition, were excited to introduce two magnificent new musicians to this years all-star line-up Rossano Sportiello on piano and the vocal stylings of New Orleans native Topsy Chapman. Rossano graduated from the Italian Conservatory in his native Italy and began his musical career at the age of 18 with the Milano Jazz Gang, one of Europes historic jazz bands. Topsy is a well established jazz singer who has charmed and endeared herself to crowds all over the world with her authentic style and clear melodious voice.
Joining Rossano and Topsy will be long-time AJP favorites Duke Heitger and Ed Polcer on cornet; Allan Vach, Dan Block and Tom Fischer on reeds; Dan Barrett and Bob Havens on trombone; Johnny Varro and John Cocuzzi on piano and vibes; Eddie Erickson and Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar; Frank Tate, Nicki Parrott, Richard Simon and Vince Giordano on bass; Ed Metz Jr. and Joe Ascione on drums. John and Nicki will also provide vocals in addition to Topsy. Music is in the tradition of Chicago/New York, BG Quartet, West Coast, New Orleans jazz bands and combos....
