This fearless, boundary-defying ensemble is led by three-time Grammy Award winning saxophonist and composer Jeff Coffin, perhaps best known to concert-goers as a member of the Dave Matthews Band and Bela Fleck & the Flecktones. A passionate and curious player, Coffin is known to use guitar effects on his sax and flute, as well as sometimes playing two - count ‘em…two - saxophones at the same time! The Mu’tet features Jeff Sipe on drums, Kofi Burbridge (of the Derek Trucks Band) on flute and keyboards, Bill Fanning on trumpet, and Felix Pastorious, son of the legendary Jaco Pastorious, on electric bass.

With their high-voltage blend of rock, jazz and funk, Big Sam’s Funky Nation is at the forefront of the New Orleans music scene. Trombone powerhouse and band leader “Big Sam” Williams is celebrated as the “the top man on the slide trombone in the birthplace of jazz” by the San Francisco Chronicle and has performed with musical luminaries like the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Elvis Costello and Allen Toussaint. Impressive credits aside, this masterful band has one motive and one motive only: to get you on the dance floor.

An adventurous and eclectic guitarist, Kevin Eubanks is best known to millions for his 18 years as bandleader on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In the spring of 2010, Eubanks decided to move on, although retirement was the last thing on his mind. That much is clear in potent musical terms on his latest recording, Zen Food. The album is a statement of purpose for a guitarist who, in the 15 years before landing the coveted gig in Burbank, built a reputation as one of the most audacious musicians in jazz.His affinity for all varieties of music – from country to pop, soul and blues to Zeppelin – made Eubanks ideal for the nightly musical tapestry demanded by the Tonight Show and helped shape his original music into something all his own.
