"The Great American Songbook” refers to the golden age of songwriting, when many of the most important & influential American popular songs of the 20th century became hits that turned into standards. This program will feature the music of famous composers such as: Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, George Gershwin, Billy Strayhorn, Johnny Mercer, and others. Music selections will include: Angel Eyes, Night and Day, Sway, All of Me, The Lady is a Tramp, Nancy, Witchcraft, Siing-Sing-Sing, The Way We Were, Who's Sorry Now, In the Mood, When the Saints Go Marchin' In, Moten Swing, April in Paris, Here's That Rainy Day, Take the "A" Train, My Way, Shiny Stockings, American Patrol, Yesterdays, Hey There, But Beautiful, Yesterdays, and several others.
