Behn Gillece at Asbury United Methodist Church

On June 18th, Jersey Shore Jazz Vespers will host the another great jazz vespers concert. These concerts are held every month on the 3rd Sunday, 4pm, at the Asbury United Methodist church in Atlantic City. This months group features an instrumentation which is very unique and almost unheard of in a straight-ahead jazz context. The group is made up of vibraphone, violin, drums and bass with original compositions from the artist's dynamic songbook.
 
The artist originally hails from Burlington, NJ. Now, after a decade on the New York jazz scene; playing at Smalls Jazz Club, Lincoln Center, and others, he’s built a solid reputation as a virtuosic instrumentalist and melodic composer. His debut album, Mindset and sophomore record, Dare to Be both received great reviews with extensive radio airplay and rose to the top 50 on the Jazzweek radio charts. ...
