Perowskyโs notable career has placed him among a small vanguard of players able to move between jazz, experimental music and cutting edge pop and rock. He co-founded the electric jazz group Lost Tribe and has continued to record and perform with pop and jazz legends such as John Scofield, Belle and Sebastian, John Zorn, Dave Douglas, Lou Reed, Pat Martino, Tegan and Sara, Uri Caine, Walter Becker, Loudon, Martha and Rufus Wainwright. Ben has produced eight critically acclaimed records to date. He currently plays in RedCred with John Medeski and Chris Speed, and is also the drummer/percussionist for the critically acclaimed musical by Anaรฏs Mitchell, โHadestownโ.

CONNECTIONS:
Medeski and Perowskyโs musical history goes back to college days in Boston, and later in NYC. They appeared together in countless clubs and recorded in numerous bands, notably Baby Loves Jazz, Salif Kieta and recently the trio RedCred with Chris Speed.
When Ben Perowsky was still in high school. Steven appeared as a special guest with his trio. Since, theyโve played in a multitude of bands - most notably John Lurie's Lounge Lizards, Spanish Fly (with Ben as special guest) and Bernstein's MTO.

John Medeski
Equally comfortable behind a Steinway grand piano, Hammond organ or any number of vintage keyboards, Medeski is a highly sought-after improviser and band leader whose projects range from collaborations with John Zorn, The Word (Robert Randolph, North Mississippi Allstars), Phil Lesh, Don Was, John Scofield, Sean Lennon, Blind Boys of Alabama, Dirty Dozen Brass Band among others.
His current projects include a new album in the works with his band Mad Skillet (Terrence Higgins, Kirk Joseph, Will Bernard), and HUDSON (a collaboration with Jack DeJohnette, John Scofield & Larry Grenadier), and a documentary on Medeski Martin & Wood.John released his first solo piano record, "A Different Time" ( 2013).
Steven Bernstein
An enormous impact on the New York scene for three decades, trumpeter, composer, arranger and bandleader, Steven Bernstein has immersed himself in such a wide array of music with his bands Sexmob, Millennial Territory Orchestra, Diaspora Soul, Universal Melody Brass Band, Spanish Fly, Blue Campfire and the Butler-Bernstein Hot 9, that he defies categorization.
A former member of the Lounge Lizards and Levon Helmโs Midnight Ramble Band, Bernstein has composed works for film, theater and dance in addition to arranging for a diverse list of artists, from Lou Reed to Lee โScratchโ Perry, Allen Toussaint, Marianne Faithfull, Linda Ronstadt, Rufus Wainwright, Darlene Love, and the Kansas City All-Stars.
