Bodhi3 was named after the bodhi tree under which the Buddha awakened, and so we seek to allow the moment to direct the music that comes through us to create a playful, dynamically explorative circle of sound encompassing the audience and the musicians. The music can be called spontaneous composition, at times free, and at times based in deep grooves shifting and melding from the roots of jazz and funk to Middle Eastern, Indian and African. The intensity and driving pulse of one passage clears into the open peacefulness of the next, following a journey that arises from the pulse of Spirit and ultimately creates a feeling of peace and heightened clarity....
