The Capital Focus Jazz Band, led by jazz educator David Robinson Jr., returns to Tri-State Jazz (their fourth appearance!) Since 1988, this nationally acclaimed Youth Learning Program of the Potomac River Jazz Club has provided promising young musicians with a grounding in the fundamentals of jazz, as well as specialized training in the traditional New Orleans styles and their offshoots. The CFJB has been a launching pad for many great contemporary performers, well-known to Tri-State audiences; artists including Peter and Will Anderson, Ricky Alexander, and Geoff Gallante.
