Casuarina is one of Brazil’s most respected samba bands, hailing from Rio de Janeiro’s famous bohemian neighborhood Lapa. In addition to their own compositions, Casuarina creates original, sophisticated and virtuosic arrangements to a repertory of classical sambas by legendary composers. Click on the video above to see them in action. Casuarina will visit Scottsdale as part of the globalFEST On the Road tour. They will share the stage with Emeline Michel, the "Queen of Haitian Song," and Brushy One-String, Jamaica's "King of the One-String Guitar."
