It’s been far too long since the “We Always Swing”® Jazz Series presented pianist Danilo Pérez whose current project falls under the moniker of “Panama 500,” which also happens to be the name of his most recent recording. Pérez, is much more than simply a wonderful and sophisticated pianist who, when he’s not leading his various ensembles and projects, generally can be found as one-fourth of the Wayne Shorter Quartet.
