Buster Williams, Al Foster, and Tom Harrell (who in June sold out seven consecutive shows at Dizzy’s) are each renowned veterans who have played invaluable roles in jazz for decades. Dayna Stephens, who organized this band, is a respected bandleader and regular collaborator of contemporary heavy-hitters like Brad Mehldau, Julian Lage, and Ambrose Akinmusire. Rounding out the group is its youngest member, Gerald Clayton, himself a prolific sideman and high-profile leader.
