Ginté Presaité
Musician/sound artist Gintė Preisaitė explores piano as her main instrument or in many cases takes it as a starting point for an idea to grow. She tends to approach it as a machine of possibilities where many musical and sound ideas can be revealed by re-contextualising it and finding playful ways to introduce different objects inside the piano, manipulate acoustic sound electronically and jump between more harmonically rich, keys based environments and less recognisable, textural fields.
Musician has a classical music background with a strong curiosity of improvisation and contemporary music. Later on it grew into exploration of sound synthesis and composing for various electroacoustic constellations.
Gintė works on her solo project and several ensembles with various artists: Ruhi Erdogan and Rémy Gouffault together as“Branches”; trio with Simon Forchhammer and Michaela Turcerová; trio with Kasper Tranberg and Sarah Buchner.
Jonathan Aardestrup
Copenhagen based double bass player and composer Jonathan Aardestrup, has balanced his expressive output between the unconventional and the catchy. A free-spirited bass player who is always seeking to break new ground in denial of pointless repetition, leading to a continous investegation in composed original music, improvisation and the corelation of the two.
Working locally with groups like The Way Out and have several international collaborations with many different members on the impro scene including Makoto Sato, Siv Øyunn, Signe Emmeluth, Niels Mestre, Paul Wacrenier, Szymon Pimpon, Andreas Røysum, Maria Dybbroe.
